The Tanglewood Blackbird TWBB SD E stands as an extraordinary electro-acoustic guitar, delivering rich tones and versatile performance capabilities. Meticulously crafted with precision and premium materials, this instrument caters to both seasoned professional musicians and aspiring players.

Expanding upon the resounding global success of our Crossroads range of instruments, our design team has ventured to introduce an entirely new series of guitars. These guitars draw inspiration from the aesthetics of 1940s and 1950s-era US instruments, while incorporating the hallmark construction expertise of Michael Sanden and the skilled Tanglewood artisanal team.

Each Blackbird model undergoes meticulous bracing to ensure a tight, resonant bass note and crystal-clear high-frequency resonance. We have adorned each model with vintage ivory ABS binding, evoking the Bakelite look of the 1940s. Although this may not impact the sound, it certainly adds an authentic touch to the historical appearance that our design team aimed to capture. In our estimation, they have executed this task magnificently.

Our range encompasses both traditional acoustic models and stage-ready electro-acoustic versions, all equipped with the exceptional new Tanglewood Premium Plus Eq system as standard equipment. The exquisite smoky charcoal stained finish, affectionately named "Smokestack Black," awaits your selection from among the range, allowing you to discover your personal favourite.
