Visited Gough & Davy with a view to trying out some acoustic guitars. I'm an experienced semi professional musician, and knew what I wanted. Sean and Oli were extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to not only try out some very nice instruments in store, I also was able to have a really great chat with members of staff about instruments in general and have a bit of a laugh. At no point did I feel pressured, it was a thoroughly pleasant shopping experience. I managed to find an instrument that matched my initial description incredibly closely and I made a purchase and have no regrets! After a disappointing experience with an alternative high end guitar shop in Beverley, my family went to see if these guys could help us find the right guitar for my lad. Their Google reviews are very high and expectation was set from that, though what we actually experienced was some of the best customer service I've ever encountered in my life. Their prices are competitive and they are happy to help put a good package together based on properly listening to requirements then offering appropriate guidance and suggestions, but the knowledgeable, competent and personable manner of Shaun was next level and made this the perfect start to my son's journey into his music story.
