FAQs

How do I claim my free tuning?

Gough and Davy supply a free tuning with every Acoustic Piano within the first 3 months of purchase. After the piano has had chance to settle into your home (we normally advise 3-4 weeks) you can arrange your tuning with one of our recommended tuners if you are local, or with a tuner more local to yourself if you are outside of the East Yorkshire area. Our local tuners with bill us for the service if you mention that this is your free first tuning on your pianos. If you are outside of the East Yorkshire area please ask your Piano tuner to send an invoice to us at mail@goughanddavy.co.uk or via post to Gough and Davy, 13 Paragon Street, Hull, HU1 3NA.

Does my instrument have a warranty?

Gough and Davy provide a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty with all new instruments. Some brands such as Yamaha and Roland offer extended warranties on their products. Contact us for warranty information on specific instruments.

Pre-owned items have a 6-month warranty.

Can I buy an item on finance?

At Gough and Davy, we can provide a number of different finance options. We are proud suppliers of the Take It Away Scheme run by the Arts Council. This scheme allows people buying an instrument for a child under 18, or an adult aged 18-25 purchasing for themselves, to spread the cost of an instrument interest free over 9 or 18 months.

We also offer a low interest bearing finance option at 4.9% for those not wishing to use the Take-It-Away scheme. For more information, call us on 01482 326525.

We also run a deposit scheme throughout the year that is done directly through us. You can put a deposit on any item in store and pay the rest of the balance within the next 6-8 weeks. This is not connected to any finance scheme and does not require a credit check. You will receive the item when the full balance is paid.
