Since its inception in 2005, Kala's KA-15S has stood as the gold standard for entry-level ukuleles. The 15 Series, characterized by its quality, affordability, and straightforward design, has consistently met every criterion for a beginner's ukulele. Continuing this legacy into 2020, the KA-20 Series upholds the tradition with its distinctive features.

Marked by an etched Polynesian-style Shark Teeth rosette, this ukulele is crafted from Burled Meranti, a wood adorned with dots, dashes, and speckles that exhibit an iridescent quality, highlighting its unique grain pattern. The natural satin finish allows the wood's inherent beauty to take center stage. Whether you're learning in a classroom, practicing at home, or engaging in an acoustic performance, the KA-20 Series proves to be an ideal companion for players at any stage.

Designed as a tenor-sized ukulele, the KA-20 Series boasts a Meranti neck and Indonesian Nandu fingerboard for comfortable playability. Equipped with Aquila Super Nylgut strings and a Graphtech Tusq nut and saddle, this ukulele delivers a rich and resonant sound. While lacking electronics, its lower bout strap button adds convenience for on-the-go playing.

With precise measurements and thoughtful construction, the KA-20 Series stands out: Scale Length: 16.75 inches, Overall Instrument Length: 26.0 inches, Body Length: 11.5 inches, Number of Frets: 18, Width at Upper Bout: 6.5 inches, Width at Lower Bout: 8.5 inches, Width at Waist: 5.625 inches, Body Depth: 2.625 inches, Fingerboard Width at Nut: 1.375 inches, and Fingerboard width at neck/body joint: 1.875 inches. This ukulele not only honors Kala's history of excellence but also provides players with a reliable and aesthetically pleasing instrument to accompany their musical journey.

What customers say about us

We were looking to upgrade a trusty Yamaha keyboard and a much loved acoustic guitar and popped into Gough & Davy in Hull hoping - but not necessarily expecting - that they would be able to match our requirements. We were very impressed with the friendly, knowledgeable service - and came away delighted with the two instruments we decided to buy. Thanks !

I highly recommend Gough and Davy. Popped in just to have a look and see what was on offer and saw the Gibson Blues Hawk, never heard of one before but I was impressed by its condition and what I was told about it by the staff. After doing some research I decided to buy it and I’m over the moon with it. Many thanks

Popped into this store today for a look around and left with a bass guitar for my son. The guys in the store were so helpful and knowledgeable - they knew every guitar in the store and were able to easily point my son to a perfect fit for him as well as discussing guitars in general. We hadn't planned to buy a guitar and as we live in Surrey had no way of easily carrying it home. So got a guitar case as well! But they threw in a strap for free. Would definitely recommend this store. You can't beat the personal touch.

This shop is a musicians dream. The staff are so friendly, helpful and really know their stuff. We first bought a flute and keyboard. These were beautiful instruments. The flute was a purple vivace III with a clear quality sound and was provided with all the cleaning materials. I love playing it and has rekindled our love of music. My husband also made the switch from an acoustic to electric guitar and got his dream of owning his own Gretsch. The prices are excellent for the quality you get and staff really look after you so the upkeep and after care is there for you as well. The best music shop in shop in Hull.

Apparantly in business for 156 years. It`s clear to me that to last that long that the business must be providing a service that not only reaps a good living but at the same time puts a smile on the faces of so many customers. I`m in the process of having a huge clear out and after agreeing the sale of my piano, I pointed out that I had a drumkit that needed putting together and cleaning - left dormant in the garage for a few years- I was just about to put it in a skip I`ve hired but Alan said it may be ideal for a young kid as a starter instrument. What a lovely thought. Getting kids to have an interest in life that may just help them to stay away from video games. Also, the lads that came to take the piano away were very nice and polite. A business that is a credit to Hull
