Designed for players using a short European scrape, the Jones European Scrape Oboe Reed features a 10.5-11mm scrape and a wire for tip adjustment. It is tied on a 47mm brass tube with a finished length of 72-72.5mm. Made from select Mediterranean cane, each reed is produced using CNC technology, then hand-finished and play-tested for a vibrant, balanced, and consistent response.

AMERICAN SCRAPE

The Jones Artist Oboe Reed, made only with the most select cane from the Mediterranean basin, is designed for intermediate and advanced players. Featuring an American scrape, each reed is tested, adjusted, and finished by a professional oboist. Tied on a 47mm brass tube with a finished length of 70-71mm, it has a scraped design with windows for better flexibility across the instrument’s range.
