A charming gem, the Mercury represents a classic short-scale parlour model. Its distinguishing feature is the neck's attachment to the body at the 12th fret, a departure from the conventional 14th fret placement, resulting in slightly reduced string tension. Additionally, this 12th fret connection shifts the bridge farther away from the soundhole.
These characteristics combine to create a guitar that is notably easier to play, produces a surprisingly substantial sound, and offers straightforward handling and portability.
Each Faith Naked instrument boasts a Spruce top and Mahogany body, both constructed entirely from solid tonewood, aligning with the standards upheld in all other Faith series. Nevertheless, the adornments and unnecessary embellishments have been removed, leaving these guitars in their natural, "Naked" state. Finished with satin all around, the tonewood enjoys nearly unrestricted freedom for resonant vibrations, resulting in a tonal quality that far exceeds typical expectations at this price point.
