The new GL grand piano of Kawai
The GL Series Grand Pianos possess all the essential qualities that have made Kawai pianos a preferred choice of pianists and educators for generations. They were conceived with one goal in mind—to provide exceptional touch and tone that endures.

For over 85 years, Kawai has been the architect of the modern piano, boldly pioneering the use of state-of-the art materials and ideas to advance the piano art form. Building upon nine decades of experience and tradition, our celebrated technology delivers extraordinary touch and tone that is respected worldwide for its remarkable stability. That is the Kawai difference that you will hear and feel for years to come.

The Millennium III action
The Millennium III Action features components made of ABS-Carbon, a composite material created by the infusion of carbon fiber into our renowned ABS Styran. ABS-Carbon is incredibly sturdy and rigid, which allows the creation of action parts that are lighter without sacrificing strength. The result is a stronger, faster action that offers more power, better control and greater stability than conventional all-wood actions.

Longer keys
Longer keys make playing easier and provide a more even response from the front to the back of the playing surface. A taller profile and concert-length key buttons make them more rigid to provide exceptional energy transfer and optimum power.

TONE
Kawai grand pianos are renowned for their expressive tone and expansive dynamic range that allow pianists to communicate with ease and passion.

"Soft Fall" Fallboard
Our ultra-slow, "Soft Fall" fallboard closing system with dual-damping mechanism protects hands and the piano's finish from the harm that a jarring close might cause.

We were looking to upgrade a trusty Yamaha keyboard and a much loved acoustic guitar and popped into Gough & Davy in Hull hoping - but not necessarily expecting - that they would be able to match our requirements. We were very impressed with the friendly, knowledgeable service - and came away delighted with the two instruments we decided to buy. Thanks !

I highly recommend Gough and Davy. Popped in just to have a look and see what was on offer and saw the Gibson Blues Hawk, never heard of one before but I was impressed by its condition and what I was told about it by the staff. After doing some research I decided to buy it and I’m over the moon with it. Many thanks

Popped into this store today for a look around and left with a bass guitar for my son. The guys in the store were so helpful and knowledgeable - they knew every guitar in the store and were able to easily point my son to a perfect fit for him as well as discussing guitars in general. We hadn't planned to buy a guitar and as we live in Surrey had no way of easily carrying it home. So got a guitar case as well! But they threw in a strap for free. Would definitely recommend this store. You can't beat the personal touch.

This shop is a musicians dream. The staff are so friendly, helpful and really know their stuff. We first bought a flute and keyboard. These were beautiful instruments. The flute was a purple vivace III with a clear quality sound and was provided with all the cleaning materials. I love playing it and has rekindled our love of music. My husband also made the switch from an acoustic to electric guitar and got his dream of owning his own Gretsch. The prices are excellent for the quality you get and staff really look after you so the upkeep and after care is there for you as well. The best music shop in shop in Hull.

Apparantly in business for 156 years. It`s clear to me that to last that long that the business must be providing a service that not only reaps a good living but at the same time puts a smile on the faces of so many customers. I`m in the process of having a huge clear out and after agreeing the sale of my piano, I pointed out that I had a drumkit that needed putting together and cleaning - left dormant in the garage for a few years- I was just about to put it in a skip I`ve hired but Alan said it may be ideal for a young kid as a starter instrument. What a lovely thought. Getting kids to have an interest in life that may just help them to stay away from video games. Also, the lads that came to take the piano away were very nice and polite. A business that is a credit to Hull
